Can you find just one reason to vote no?

JUST ONE	Less hungry child
JUST ONE	Less teenage pregnancy
JUST ONE	Less abused spouse
JUST ONE	Less automobile fatality
JUST ONE	Less abuse of alcohol by a teenager
JUST ONE	Less lost job
JUST ONE	Less alcohol related bankruptcy
JUST ONE	Less alcohol related homicide
JUST ONE	Less abuse of alcohol by an adult
JUST ONE	Less family destroyed by alcohol abuse
JUST ONE	Less temptation to a recovering alcoholic
JUST ONE	Less sleepless night for a parent hoping that their teenager comes home safely
JUST ONE GOD: God inspired Paul to write: “Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.” Romans 14:13 (NIV) By voting no we are acknowledging God’s commandment that we love one another enough to put our own earthly desires behind the well-being of our neighbor who will be adversely affected by the legalization of alcohol sales.

I personally do not use or advocate the use of alcohol. But, let’s not judge one another over the consumption of alcohol, that’s an individual’s

choice. We have a more important issue and that is the safety and future of our children.

This destructive, self-serving campaign to legalize the widespread sale of alcohol was initiated by a few individuals with a larger interest in their personal financial gain than in the safety and well being of our community. Isn’t it a shame that this issue has forced opponents and proponents (as a community) to face the financial hardships of this issue, at an estimated cost in excess of $100,000.00. There is no way to affix a value to the social ramifications that our community has endured and will continue to endure.
